AGENCY CREATIVES WIN BIG AT THE CHIP SHOP AWARDS

After making the journey down south for this year’s Chip Shop Awards, Stein IAS’ creative bods have returned with more than just a hangover to show for their adventures. The agency’s creatives scooped two ‘chips’ and a hat-trick of ‘vinegars’ at this year’s awards for their no boundaries, no limits, and outrageous creative ideas.
The Drum’s infamous Chip Shop Awards are notorious for unleashing the UK’s creative juices, celebrating and recognizing that inspirational and irreverent ideas don’t always fall within the rules.
Held at the Proud Camden, (Wednesday 17th June), the agency scooped two ‘chips’ which included its tongue-in-cheek spin on Honda’s ‘The Power of Dreams’ ad, ‘The Power of Suggestion’, for ‘Best Parody’ and its Nixon ad ‘Drop-dead Clegg’, for ‘Best Political ad’. While the agency’s trio of ‘vinegars’ included ‘Best Shameless Self Promotion’ for ‘Smith and Sons Funeral Services’; ‘Best Shop Window Postcard’ for ‘Leaf Blower’; and ‘Best ad that doesn’t need to be advertised’ for ‘A Blinding Offer’.
As the advertising industry’s most notorious awards ceremony, the Chip Shop Awards are renowned for encouraging creative minds to pull no punches, offering creatives the opportunity to showcase their talents without constraint.
