Believing that serious business marketing challenges should be solved in seriously creative ways, Michael has been instrumental in making Stein IAS one of the world’s most awarded B2B agencies. Stein IAS hired Michael in 2003 as an account planner and copywriter. In 2010, he was named Creative Director. Since taking the helm, Michael has led Stein IAS to its highest award show performances, including hundreds of honors globally. But perhaps his favorite accolade is, according to AdAge, the best use of the word “boo-yah” in a b-to-b ad ever.
He is also a frequent ad industry speaker, commentator and awards judge. Michael has adjudicated such distinguished honors as the Business Marketing Association B2 and Global ACE Awards, Boston Ad Club Hatch Awards, FCS Portfolio Awards and CEBA Awards. He’s been cited or had his work featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, AdAge and CMO.com, among others. He was a founding member of BMA:FWD, the early career marketing professional arm of the BMA of NYC. He’s even entertained as emcee for The Global ACE Awards on two occasions.
Michael is also a recovering actor and an acclaimed librettist whose award-winning musicals and songs have been performed across the United States, and in England and South America. Most importantly, he is Benjamin and Vivian's dad.
